Otavalo
Otavalo is very well known for its artisanal market held every Saturday. If you get there early enough you might see the cattle market.
You will mainly find the famous Otavalo sweaters with thousands of designs and colors. But you will also find some alpaca carpets, some jewellery ( some made of taghua ( a special kind of wood), some with seeds, with pearls... you cannot leave without finding a nice one for you, your wife or whoever), some Panama hats,....
